About Dirty T Shirt Productions

Dirty T Shirt Productions was founded in 2010 with a vision that video was going to play an important role in sales and marketing in the future.

At the time, Youtube had only been in the market for four years, Facebook didn’t have video in the timeline and Instagram wasn’t even invented.

Over the past decade the internet has evolved and so have our services.

Due to client demand we’ve broadened our services from videos to web design, photography, brand development and content for social media.

As the behaviour of internet users continues to evolve so have we.

The only thing that hasn’t changed is our commitment to making best in class productions that tell our clients story while advancing their business interests.

Steve Langston Bio

My name is Steve Langston and I was born in Brandon, Manitoba in 1983 where I attended Green Acres, Kirkcaldy Heights and Crocus Plains schools.

After graduating from high school in 2001 I attended Assiniboine Community College gaining an Accounting Diploma in the Business Administration program. Following college I was Alberta bound where I attended the Universtiy of Lethbridge and received a Bachelor of Managament.

The next four years were spent traveling the globe and growing a love for bike touring, the act of riding your bike long distances unsupported, with everything you need packed along with you.

It was during these years that I authored the book Canada by Bicycle, the only guidebook for biking across Canada which is currently sold at Mountain Equipment Co-op across Canada.

Once I felt I had sufficiently scratched the travel but I started a career as an Accountant. It took about six months until I realized that it wasn’t a great fit for me.

I had always been drawn to the act of creating content so I challenged myself to hand in my resignation and start the business of my dreams out of Winnipeg, Manitoba.

The internet was just starting to really get going and I saw a place for a business that created content to help businesses them sell their products. I got more than a few funny looks when I showed people my business plan. Video simply wasn’t a part of the marketing conversation at that point.

I had dreamed of being a business owner and entrepreneur all my life, and decided to give it a whirl. I was profitable within three months and the rest they say is history. Video is now a ubiquitous and integral part of any marketing mix.

Since the company was founded we’ve grown substantially and now have an opportunity to regularly travel across North America working for our clients.

Some highlights for my career include having our documentaries screen around the world at film festivals and be broadcast across Canada on channels like CBC, Discovery Canada, RadX, AMI and more.

In 2012 I founded the Riding Mountain National Park Film Festival which is an annual event that uses the power of film to make a positive impact in our world. We screen documentaries from around the world and teach youth how to be a filmmaker.

During the summer of 2016 I had an incredible opportunity to be a TedX Winnipeg Speaker where I spoke on the topic of Goal Smashing.

It is an honour for me to get to live out my dreams and run Dirty T Shirt Productions and I never loose sight of the fact that most would love the opportunity to spend their days on something that they sincerely love to do.

In 2019 my wife and two daughters  and I made the decision to move rurally and now reside on the southern edge of Riding Mountain National Park in Onanole, Manitoba.
