On September 1st we started production on Tailwind: Prairie Harvest a 22 minute documentary for MTSTV.
Over 17 days we cycled 1200 KM’s around Manitoba consuming only food grown in the province of Manitoba.
The trip was inspiring, challenging and fun! We ate a lot of spelt ( flour ) honey, oats, vegetables, eggs, canola oil and whatever else we could get our hands on!
We met a fascinating group of food producers from across Manitoba who inspired us with their work ethic, progressiveness and kindness.
Each day we edited a short video about each day and people tuned in from across the world in real time to see how our bike tour was going. During our trip we had over 5,000 unique viewers and strong interaction on Facebook and Twitter.

On October 1st 2012 Dirty T Shirt Productions flipped the switch on the Keystone Centre website.
The Keystone is a Brandon, MB event centre with 3 hockey rinks, 1000′s of square foot of agriculture space, food and beverage etc etc.
The Keystone approached us looking to start from scratch on a new website that was easy to update and navigate.
We built a WordPress website that is easy for the talented people in their marketing department to be updating on a regular basis. The site had to integrate with their ticket software and provide all of the information that a visitor could possibly need.
We also designed them a mobile site that automatically resizes when a visitor goes to the site on a mobile device. Because visitors to the site that are using a mobile device often have different needs than those on a desktop platform the mobile site only the vital information. If a visitor needs further information they can switch the site to the full version.
When we started working with the Keystone they had little presence on social media. I gave their group a 90 minute session on how they should be using Twitter to connect with their community and we got them set up with an account. They’ve been active for a little over a month and have 100 followers ( and growing ) that they are connecting with on a regular basis.
Overall we wanted to help the Keystone Centre market themselves as a modern, convenient meeting place where people can feel comfortable and connected. We focused the site on their 3 main offerings; Agriculture, sports and meetings & conferences. The site is visually clean and allows visitors to easily find the information that they need.

This summer we spent July Long Weekend at the Selo Urkaina site near Dauphin, Manitoba for Countryfest 2012.
We will be editing six videos during the time leading up to the next festival and this is the first one.
We really tried to step outside of our comfortable space and do something creative with the edit. I think we’ve succeeded!
This video was created for Century21westman.com to help market Pleasant Valley Golf Course which is currently for sale.
The listing agents will be sending this property in an information package to professional golfers across Canada and the USA as well as post it on youtube, websites and embed into emails.
The client wanted someone to be able to watch a 90 second video and understand where the property is, why it is unique and why someone would be interested in purchasing this golf course.

Cando is an employee owned, Brandon MB based company with operations spanning North America. They are in the rail services sector and count CP, CN, Toyota and many others as their clients.
Cando was looking for a major overhaul of their internet marketing so the project included a logo refresh, a brand new website powered by WordPress as well as 2 videos.
The first video is a landing page video used to introduce the company.
The second video is a 90 second video Human Resources video that talks about employee ownership, corporate culture and gives an insight into Cando approach to doing business.
We created this website for Clear Lake Self Storage, a company in Clear Lake, MB.
They wanted a site that could handle all questions, payments and customer interactions to reduce their labour costs on the project.
There are 4 clear, easy steps to acquiring a storage unit that are prominently displayed on the side of the site so visitors are drawn to this area. The call to action is clear and concise.
I spent the week of June 11 – 15 working with Startup Canada, a grass roots initiative to support entrepreneurialism in Canada.

I was misquoted a little. Yes I used to be an accountant, I was about to start my CGA program when I changed careers. No, I did not spend the past six years establishing myself as a CMA.
This video was created to get people hyped up for Countryfest.
It was shot in early June of 2012.
During April of 2012 we shot a 3 video series for Sunrise Credit Union.
We visited each one of their 14 locations and created a video series that tells a story about a Credit Union that is deeply invested in agriculture, small business and rural Manitoba.
Sunrise will be using this video as part of their sponsorship of Astral Radio’s Manitobaville.

The Red River EX contacted us looking for a site to replace their existing site. They wanted to be able to update and modify their site from in house without having to call the designer.
We made them a custom designed wordpress site and they have been integrating it with their social and traditional media strategies with great success.
I also gave their team a seminar on how to use Twitter and Facebook to engage their fans. So far they’re up to 1 700 Facebook Likes and counting.

We profiled 3 tourism operators in Manitoba that are passionate about their job and help to brand Manitoba as a world-class tourism destination.
Some of the highlights were shooting sunset at Oak Hammock Marsh and the Honey Garlic Festival in Manitou.
